Brazil got their World Cup campaign off to a disappointing start following a 1-1 draw with Switzerland in a Group E match.
Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring with his trademark right-foot as he rifled in the ball into the left hand corner of Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer to put the Selecao ahead in the 20th minute.
The Samba Boys' attack were contained but they took the 1-0 lead into half time following an impressive display from the entire team.
However, the Cowbells got back into the match five minutes after the restart as Stephen Zuber headed home a Xherdan Shaqiri's corner kick to level the scores at 1-1
Tite's men came guns blazing after conceding the equalizer but they were contained by a well-organized Swiss defence.
Neymar and Jesus had half chances as well as Coutinho but they could not get their shot on target courtesy of the stubborn resistance from Vladimir Petkovic's men.
